About Eurodyssey

Eurodyssey is a regional exchange programme run by the Assembly of European Regions and participating regional authorities. It is not an EU-wide internship open to every resident of a participating country. Your home region must currently send candidates, and a participating host region must publish a suitable placement. Traineeships are paid and may include accommodation, language preparation, meal vouchers, local transport or cultural activities, but the exact package and duration depend on the live regional offer. Recent programme governance has included regions such as Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Brussels-Capital, Sardinia, Madeira, the Azores, Adjara and the Union of Cyprus Municipalities; these are examples, not a permanent eligibility list.

Eligibility criteria

  • ResidenceYou must live in a region currently participating as a sending region; living in a participating country alone is not enough.
  • AgeNormally 18–35, subject to the current regional call.
  • Current situationFor unemployed or recently qualified applicants, subject to regional selection rules.
  • DestinationLimited to participating host regions with a current eligible offer.
  • SelectionYour home region validates the application; the host region and employer manage the placement selection.
  • Offer-specific conditionsLanguage, skills, insurance and administrative requirements can vary by placement.
