About Working Holiday Visa — Brazil

A Working Holiday visa is a bilateral residence route for a long cultural stay. It allows eligible young people to travel independently and take temporary work to supplement their funds. It does not provide a job, accommodation or a language course.

Apply through the Brazilian consular service responsible for your residence in France. Current French guidance lists a €2,500 initial-funds threshold and a 500-place quota. Check the official route for your passport before booking travel because quotas, fees, document formats and appointment availability can change.

  • Age18–30 inclusive when applying.
  • PurposeThe main purpose is holiday and cultural discovery; temporary work may help fund the stay.
  • Previous participationNormally available once under the bilateral agreement.
  • DependantsYou must not be accompanied by dependent children or other dependants under the application.
  • PreparationA valid passport, return travel or funds, initial savings and comprehensive insurance are required.

This route is for French passport holders aged 18–30 who apply through the competent Brazilian service in France. Portuguese is important for work and administration; a job and income are not guaranteed.
